Childminding and validation

A childminder is a person who, alone or together with another person, takes care of a small group of children. The maximum can vary per country and per age group. Also, the maximum age of the children can vary per country.

The first ValChild output is a report, mainly addressed to validation stakeholders, as well as to VET providers and other training entities, which will give an overview of childminding and the present situation in Validation of Non-formal and Informal Learning (VNIL) in partner countries and explore best practices, as well as identify the factors limiting the implementation of validation of informal and non-formal learning, in the wider area of childcare. This report will define the criteria, which will set the foundations for the development of VALCHILD validation framework.
