Validation of non-formal and informal learning in childminding

The VALCHILD project aims to define the validation requirements and criteria that will enable the development of the assessment and validation materials and tools, as well as the recommendation and certification scheme, which will give the opportunity to the learners to make the outcome of their learning be visible and keep up with the demands of the labour market.
The VALCHILD project also aims to increase the quality, supply and accessibility of vocational education and training for childminders, providing guidance and resources for personalised learning pathways.
The project will develop a Validation mechanism for practitioners in early childminding, complemented by a Recommendation and Certification Scheme to facilitate assessment and recognition of prior learning which will essentially enhance their access to further training, up-skill them, and further strengthen their key competences and employment opportunities, and quality of life.
